Mike Spiro is an Executive Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank, specializing in full-service representation of landlords, tenants, investors and companies in the greater East Bay and Silicon Valley markets. Spiro began his real estate career in 2004 at Cushman & Wakefield’s Oakland office, where he focused on providing industrial and R&D real estate services to his clients.
In 2007, Spiro helped launch the firm’s Hayward (now Oakland) office, which was the firm’s first industrial office in the East Bay. His passion and experience in the East Bay and Silicon Valley have been instrumental in the creation of a strong regional industrial presence known for best-in-class brokerage services and unparalleled market knowledge.
With a background in architecture and design, Spiro offers a range of real estate advisory services to both tenants and landlords, including space planning, test-fit and spec marketing recommendations. Since joining the firm, Spiro has consistently been a Top Five producer in the regional office, including finishing as the Number One Producer in 2009, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Education
Spiro is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture and minored in city and regional planning. He currently resides in Lafayette, California with his wife and two children.
